I met Allen and Kimmy through good friend Travis (who is also engaged and tying the knot to beautiful Saundra very soon). They were recently engaged on Valentine’s Day (going to be difficult to top that on in the future Allen! haha) and are getting married in February 2012 in Newport Beach, CA. I shot an engagement session with them recently in Huntington Beach. We had only spoken a few times before, but all of us hit it off right away and strolled all over the park with their energetic and awesome dog Dexter.

Photographing this couple was beyond fun. We laughed and joked and explored all over Newport Beach all while I was photographing them being in love. We had a great time collaborating on some creative shots around balboa peninsula, and I really look forward to their special day in October.

This is Justin and Ashley, newly engaged couple who traveled from their home in Arizona to our engagement session in Orange County. Ashley and Justin were a blast to hang out and joke around with it made photographing them beyond fun. Ashley being a bit of a cycling enthusiast, has probably rubbed off on Justin, because this couple definitely has their bike handling skills down to a science! Holding hands, both Ashley and Justin on the same bike, and dodging me shooting in the middle of the path was quite a thrill and we were all laughing at what they were going to do next.

After riding around we found a neat little deserted park and we took some shade and got some really gorgeous shots. Whether Ashley and Justin were climbing up in trees or I was, we had a great time and had no shortage of ideas for fun shots with these two. It’s easy to be inspired capturing Ashley and Justin’s love and was really fun connecting with these two that afternoon.

They will be getting married later this year in Seattle and I am really excited for them. Enjoy these photos of my new friends Ashley and Justin, I love new friends!
